Jackie Aina Raises $50K for Black Girl Ventures with Sold-Out Candle
Crown Royal partnered with FORVR Mood fragrance creator Jackie Aina on the "Berry on Top" candle, inspired by their popular blackberry-flavored whiskey. This collaboration also supports Black Girl Ventures Foundation, a nonprofit that helps underrepresented founders. The candle sold out quickly, but I’m positive there will be some floating around online if you’d like to get your hands on one.
Pharrell’s 2nd Fragrance Foray
Pharrell Williams has launched a new fragrance for Louis Vuitton, lovingly titled “LV Lovers.” Williams and his team claim the fragrance is designed to capture the essence of sunshine. "The idea," Williams says, "is photosynthesis."
The scent is meant to evoke feelings of positivity and well-being. The key ingredient is galbanum, a resin with a woody scent found in an Iranian plant. Williams describes it as "an elevated version of something that's familiar to me, not too strong, but definitely on the sweeter side. I can smell the colors — light blue with a hint of purple."
This is not Williams' first foray into fragrance—he collaborated with Comme des Garcons on a unisex fragrance called ‘Girl’ in 2014.
‘LV Lovers’ is a collaboration between Williams and Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud and Camille Cavallier-Belletrud—a father-daughter team of perfumers—and costs $320. Unfortunately, it does not come with the super-cute keychain or trunk. (Buy it here)
