A Vietnamese Perfumer is Donating the Proceeds of This Fragrance to the Children of Palestine
The fragrance world has been fraught with conglomerates supportive of genocidal efforts against Palestine. Vietnamese American perfumer James Miju Nguyen has created a perfume called ‘Strawberry Support’ and is donating the proceeds to Palestine Children's Relief Fund. “I really wanted to have fun with this actually,” Nguyen said in an Instagram post. Symbolic of Palestine’s yearly strawberry harvest, Nguyen combined notes of strawberry seed oil, white musk, baked goods and more into a beautiful gourmand that comes with a “Free Palestine” pin. Apparently Scentbird’s CEO is Also a Spirituality Influencer?
Scentbird CEO and co-founder Mariya Nurislamova allegedly has a side gig sharing controversial thoughts on the spiritual meanings of blue eyes and crooked teeth. From the looks of her main Instagram, it’s very typical of what you’d imagine a CEO’s to be: well-lit headshots and press clippings. On TikTok however, Russian-born Nurislamova has taken a less-formulaic route, describing herself as an “energy alchemist” who discusses how to “manifest your dream life” and some things about a 77 portal.
