Kayali’s “Vacation in a Bottle” Set Releases
Kayali is churning out scents like hotcakes these days (Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar is a personal favorite of mine) and they’re not stopping anytime soon. Mona Kattan recently dropped four mini scents in a $100-pack (around the price of a single 1.7 oz bottle of Kayali perfume) inspired by the locales of Marrakesh, Capri, Maui and the Maldives. If you can’t take a luxe vacation, Kayali’s bringing it to you. (Buy them here)
IFF Under Investigation for Possible Fragrance Cartel
If you’re wondering why fragrance prices are a little out of pocket in every sense of the word, The European Commission is looking into it. The EU Commission has fined International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) the USD equivalent of $17.05 million for obstructing an investigation of a suspected cartel to illegally control fragrance supplies and ingredients. The make things worse, an important person at IFF deleted suspicious WhatsApp messages that they had with another fragrance company. What do you think this will mean for the future of fragrance prices? (Reuters)
