‘Die Hot With a Vengeance’ Is This Asian American Beauty Editor’s Scent of a Lifetime
Sable Yong, former Allure beauty editor and current podcaster behind Smell Ya Later, has published her first book Die Hot With A Vengeance—a series of essays on beauty and vanity. And this book comes with a scent-track, if you will. Yong worked with Hoax Parfum to create an eponymous perfume after the book, meant to smell like “a rich, evil woman's Birkin bag.” Yong defines this fragrance as “the perfect scent for literate hotties, villains undone by their own glamour, morally ambiguous main characters, and disgraced heiresses…” Consider me intrigued. Can Scent be a Mental Health Aid?
Snif’s collaboration with Black wellness influencer Alex Elle may have ushered in a new trend of perfume for mental health. Media outlet Glossy touches on how scent brands like Orebella and Charlotte Tilbury are following suit with mental wellness-enhancing scents.
